Halloween is in just a short couple weeks and Cape May sure knows how to get in the spirit! The temperature is dropping, the leaves are changing, and best of all your favorite local spots are hosting events for the whole family to enjoy. Here are a few events around the Cape May County area that are always local favorites. Mark your calendars for all of these VERY cool Halloween events in Cape May:

The 10th Annual Scarecrow Contest, October 14th-October 31st: Create your own scarecrow that will take up residence beside dozens of others along "Scarecrow Alley" this Halloween season, when the grounds of the Emlen Physick Estate are transformed into a spectacle of scary and sill, all original, handmade specters. Held at Emlen Physick Estate at 2pm.

The 26th Annual Pumpkin Festival, October 20th: Families can enjoy pumpkin painting and games throughout the day. A variety of crafters will sell their wares along the Village's shell-paved lanes, vendors will be selling hot dogs, funnel cake, and other snacks. Also visit a haunted house at the Corson Gandy Barn and hop on a fall hayride through the farm! Held in Historic Cold Spring Village at 10am.

Murder Mystery Dinner, October 20th: Can you figure out who committed the murder act, how they did it and why? Interact with the cast of likely suspects and try to solve the mystery as you enjoy a four-course dinner. Held at the Inn of Cape May at 7pm.
