Historic Lakeside Lodge over looking Lake Lily in Cape May Point was built in the late 1800’s and brought to its grandeur in 1899 when it became The Cape May Point Country Club. During a time of business titans like John Wanamaker, Alexander Whilden and Benjamin Harrison the home was the clubhouse for the Cape May Point Social Club. Dr. Hazzard built the rustic bridge over Lake Lily on the north end and held the annual Venetian Water Fete with lights adorning the bridge, boats and clubhouse. Used as a country club until 1916 and purchased in 1941 by the current owners family.
