With Independence Day behind us and 80+ degree days here to stay, summer down the Shore is officially in full swing! Cape May has endless opportunities for summer fun and we want to share some of our favorite activities. Bookmark this page so that you can come back to it later!
Beach Days (An obvious favorite!)
There really is nothing like spending the day at a Cape May beach. The sand is soft, the waves are perfect, and the breeze is just right! Before you pack up for a day in the sun make sure you have the appropriate beach tags. Pro tip: there is plenty of free street parking towards the northern end of the beachfront.
Watersports
Add some excitement to your afternoon by enjoying one of the many offered activities on the water. Some of our favorites include Miss Chris’ Fishing Trips and the Cape May Whale Watch & Research Center Tours. If you’re looking for a faster paced adventure, check out Thunder Cat Dolphin Watch.
Shopping
If you need a break from the sun or are searching for a rainy-day endeavor, head over to Washington Street Mall or visit the stores right along the beachfront! Our top picks this season are: Victorious, Cash & Clive, Galvanic, and Southend Surf Shop.
The Wildwood Boardwalk
Enjoy the sights, sounds, rides and food along Wildwood’s Boardwalk! There is also a waterpark if you’re there on an extra hot day. While in Wildwood, head over to A Little Café for some great breakfast, lunch, or coffee.
Hit the Links
Cape May National Golf Club is a great public course just minutes from downtown!
Cape May is a nationally noted beach town for a reason— every season we are reminded more and more of why we love this city so much! It’s not too late to plan a trip for this summer but if your schedule is jammed packed already, September usually shows us amazing weather and all the same fun with smaller crowds.
